Our out & ABOUT Team
Franz Widmer established out & ABOUT in 2021, where he serves as both owner and
manager.
With nearly 15 years of experience as the Managing Director of Mammut Alpine School, the outdoor academy of the iconic Swiss brand Mammut, Franz brings a wealth of knowledge to his venture. He holds a Master's degree in Geography and was one of the world's top sport climbers. Passionate about the outdoors, he enjoys exploring hidden corners and nooks, often accompanied by his family.
Our guides are versatile experts with in-depth knowledge and a great passion for Switzerland. On all mountain and snowshoe tours, certified hiking guides guarantee the highest safety standards and a profound understanding of nature, culture, and history thanks to their demanding formation.
